The History Of The King Of Bingo
King Of Bingo owner, Ron Peters Story starts out rather uniquely.
In 1990 Ron was recovering from cancer.
After lying on the sofa for a year he realized that this can’t be his life. His life was meant to be lived.
Ron’s wife suggested that they go over to the Raynham Flea Market in Raynham Massachusetts. An opportunity to get off the sofa and out of the house, Ron went.
It was there that Ron met the Flea Market owners, Jeff and Debbie Mann.
Ron began to sell his Bingo Supplies at the Raynham Flea market and in doing so gained an education in Bingo sales and marketing.
Ron then started out at St. Margaret’s Church in Brockton Massachusetts selling everything Bingo except the dobbers which were already being sold at the church. After being there for 9 months, Ron learned the Nature of the Player, The game and all the idiosyncrasies that went along with it.
Ron enjoyed selling his Bingo Supplies at St. Margarets but what he was really doing is getting eduacated on how the business worked. After 6 years at the Raynham Flea Market he wanted to make the King Of Bingo bigger, expand and reach out to more people. Ron could only Sell his Bingo supplies on Sundays, he wanted something more.
Around this time the Internet was taking off. He thought about maybe taking his business to the Internet. He met up with a guy who helped him launch a simple basic website. but sadly soon after, the man who had helped him launch himself on the internet passed away.
Ron was told about two people from the Raynham flea market that happened to be right across from him when he was there, A couple by the name of Pam and David Snell of American Computer Technologies, who did computer work, web hosting and design. Ron introduced himself and told Pam of his dilemma and asked if she could help. Pam met up with Ron and the King Of Bingo was we know it today was launched.
